During my time at the Royal Dutch Conservatory in The Hague (The Netherlands) I studied under Gerard. Together with Peter he prepared me for my first concert with orchestra. This was Shostakovich's 2nd piano concerto with the Residentie Orchestra in The Hague. Unfortunately Gerard passed away in 1997 at age 73. He was a great pianist/accompanist

In my later years I studied with Sofia who formed my current technique. She is still performing herself even although she is well in her eighties.
